Botswana's Letsile Tebogo faced setbacks before finishing sixth in the 100m at the Paris Olympics impacted by a crucial 21-day loss.
In a major announcement, DLA Piper Africa revealed its official partnership with the Botswanan sensation, naming the law firm as Tebogo’s legal sponsor.
"Letsile has put Africa on the map in the sprinting world, igniting a wave of pride and ambition in Botswana and across the entire African continent," said Terence Dambe, Managing Partner at Minchin & Kelly (DLA Piper Africa, Botswana).
This agreement will see the global law firm provide him with legal services not only in Botswana but across Africa and globally.

Olympics 200m champion Letsile Tebogo has shared how his gold medal win was fueled by an irritating fan of his main rival Noah Lyles at the Paris 2024 Games.
His crowning achievement came at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he won Botswana’s first-ever Olympic gold in the men’s 200m, finishing in a continental record time of 19.46 seconds.

The Botswanan government has promised him a four-bedroom apartment and a $75,000 (9,656,250)cash prize as a reward for his historic Olympic performance.
Additionally, he is set to receive $3,600 (Ksh 463,500)for reaching the finals in both the 100m and 200m races, with further cash rewards from private institutions potentially adding up to an impressive $260,000 (33,475,000) .
