Botswana sprinter Letsile Tebogo has received yet another reward for his Paris Olympics heroics after landing a one-year sponsorship from a top restaurant.
Letsile Tebogo keep receiving more money from various quarters following his historic Paris 2024 Olympics gold medal win in the 200m.
The 21-year-old Botswanan sprint sensation has been feted by the government as well as various organisations for his win in Paris and the latest is a top restaurant Park27 which has pledged a sponsorship of Botswanan Pula10,000 (Ksh96,347) per month for the next one year to fund his athletics preparations.
“We believe in the power of sports to inspire, uplift and united communities and we are committed to support our national heroes who continue to raise the Botswana flag high on the global stage. This sponsorship is a reflection of our pride in Letsile Tebogo’s success and our belief in his bright future,” the restaurant said.

Botswana citizens have expressed strong opposition to government's request for donations to reward Olympic athletes' historic achievements in Paris.
Tebogo and his Team Botswana colleagues have been honoured big time in their country following their Olympics heroics when the sprinter won gold in 200m, a first ever for the country at the Games, before anchoring the 4x400m relay team to a silver medal.
Botswanan gold medallists in Paris were being rewarded P1 million (Ksh9,538,990), silver attracting P500,000 (Ksh4,769,495) while bronze medallists take home P250,000 (2,384,747). Finalists also received a P25,000 (Ksh238,474) cash prize.
That is besides what has been offered by the country’s leaders and various other companies.
