Triple world champion Noah Lyles praised Alexis Ohanian’s women-only Athlos event but suggested one thing to be included in future editions.

Triple world champion Noah Lyles has explained how to better Athlos, Alexis Ohanian’s women-only event in the coming years.

Noah Lyles, who has always been known to be a vocal athlete, noted that he loves the introduction of the athletes but wished that the women could be introduced with more energy and zeal and spice up the crowd before the races.

Being the king of pre-race stunts, Noah Lyles pointed out that sounding professional brings out the boring side of the track and things should have changed as of now.

“I love these introductions at @athlos. I want to hear even more energy when announcing these Women!!! Forget trying to sound professional let’s get loud and extra!” Lyles said.

On his part, Noah Lyles was not at the stadium to witness the women’s magical performances but he was clearly supporting Alexis Ohanian’s work from the comfort of his home.

He frequently retweeted conversations about the event as it was happening and added another tweet saying: “I would love to see a celebrity cam from @athlos with track stars and non-track stars.”

The women-only event was staged at the Icahn Stadium in New York City, having attracted 36 athletes who competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, 800m, and 1500m. Triple Olympic champion Gabby Thomas was the headliner of the event, competing in the women’s 200m.

She finished second behind Brittany Brown with the 1500m seeing Faith Kipyegon extend her winning streak. Mary Moraa finished behind Tsige Duguma in the 800m as Jasmine Camacho-Quinn claimed top honours in the 100m hurdles.

Meanwhile, Noah Lyles ended his season after the Olympic Games due to testing positive for COVID-19 and he has been spending his off-season time with his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield and his mother Keisha Cane Bishop.

The reigning Olympic champion has also been doing media interviews, looking to grow his brand ahead of next season where he intends to defend his 100m and 200m crowns at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
