Globally Kenya ranked 17t, tied on total medals with Sweden. Sweden ranked better because they had more silver medals. In 18th place behind Kenya was Norway with 8 medals, 4 gold 1 silver and 3 bronze

Beatrice Chebet won Kenya's first gold medal in the women's 5000m race. An unexpected win where she floored her teammate Faith Kipyegon who defeated her in 2023.
Her second gold medal came in the women's 10,000m race after holding her nerve to finish the race in 30:43.25.
Faith Kipyegon 1 gold 1 silver
A hat-trick that only went on to get better. Kipyegon's first gold medal in the women's 1500m race came at the Rio 2016 Olympics before she defended the title again in Tokyo three years ago. Now, she is still the champion after retaining her crown at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Her silver medal came at in the 5000m women's race where Ethiopia's Tsegay tried her usual shenanigans to get ahead but failed miserably. She was led by her teammate Beatrice Chebet.

Ronald Kwemoi managed to get a silver medal at the Paris Olympics in the 5000m men's final. He finished second behind Jakob Ingebrigtsen with 13:15.04.
Hellen Obiri 1 bronze
Hellen overcame a few stumbles during the race before bouncing back and winning a bronze medal in the women's Olympic marathon.
She stumbled after covering about 2km due to overcrowding before stumbling again at 30km when she was going to get water.

Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi has given residents in the country a second afternoon off in less than a week to celebrate the gold and silver medal win at Paris Olympics.

Benson Kipruto, who has shared his training regime of upward and downward slope running, came third in the men's marathon race.
Kenya was represented by Eliud Kipchoge, Alexander Mutiso and Kipruto.

Abraham Kibiwot, who made a promise to Kenyans to bring Olympic steeplechase glory back at the 2025 World Championships, was third in the Olympic men's 3,000m steeplechase.

Faith Cherotich 1 bronze
The youngster won Kenya's second bronze medal at the Olympic women's 3000m steeplechase. She finished behind Kenyan-Born Bahraini Winfred Yavi who claimed gold.
Mary Moraa 1 bronze
The dancing queen finished third in a tight race in the 800m women's Olympic final. Mary finished with a time of 1:57.42 behind Ethiopia's Tsigie Duguma and Keely Hodgkinson.
Kenya was the top African country at the Olympics, 17th globally, with 11 medals, four gold, two silver and five bronze, followed by South Africa, 44th globally, with six medals (one gold, three silver and two bronze) as Ethiopia had one gold and three silver medals, Egypt, three medals, a gold, silver and bronze same as Tunisia.
Botswana had two medals, a gold and silver, same as Uganda as Morocco won one gold.
