The duo claimed top honors and walked away with a prize of Ksh 1 million each after dominating the grueling course.

The World AIDS Day Half Marathon is poised start on December 1st at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, and Omanyala has confirmed his participation.
The marathon, held under ideal weather conditions in the famed running town of Iten, brought together elite and upcoming athletes from Kenya and beyond.
Kiprotich and Aiyabei both stood out executing their races with precision and making decisive moves at the critical stages to secure their victories.
“It was a tough race, but the weather was good, just like it is at home,” Aiyabei said, reflecting on her performance after winning in a time of 2:28:57.
“It felt like training, so I expected to dominate the race. I knew the last 10 km would be tight, and that’s where I made my move early.”
For Kiprotich, the competition was no less intense.
“It was a tight race, but I thank God that I was able to win,” he shared.
“I maintained the pace throughout the race, and I am happy with that.”
