The Jamaican hurdler finally got his moment of revenge against the American at the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne.

Jamaica’s Rasheed Broadbell was flawless as he claimed the win in the men’s 110m hurdles at the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne.

The Olympic bronze medallist clocked a stunning 13.10 seconds to cross the finish line ahead of Olympic champion Grant Holloway who was forced to settle for second place in a time of 13.14s.

Former Olympic champion Hansle Parchment of Jamaica completed the podium, crossing the finish line in 13.23s.

Holloway beat the Jamaican hurdler in the final at the Paris Olympic Games and going into the race at the Diamond League, Broadbell knew he had to prove himself. He clocked 13.09 seconds to round up the podium in Paris as Holloway claimed the win in a time of 12.99s.

Broadbell had a steady start off the blocks and ensured he maintained the momentum to the finish line, a tactic that saved the day for him.

On his part, Parchment was coming off a poor Olympic outing where he faded to finish a disappointing eighth in the race. Going into the race as the defending champion, all eyes were on him to perform but he failed to impress his fans and his performance in Lausanne is a great improvement.

He has suffered a series of injuries that saw him begin his training late but has since proven to be in the game and ready for the Diamond League Meeting final.

American Daniel Roberts, fresh from winning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics could only afford a fourth-place finish in 13.26 seconds.
