A 19-year-old Jamaican wunderkind is ready to open his 2024 season a few months after turning professional and signing with Puma.

Months after turning professional, Jamaican wunderkind Jaydon Hibbert is ready to rock the 2024 track and field season and he has already confirmed participation in the Racers Grand Prix on Saturday, June 1, at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Hibbert announced his decision to turn professional and exit the NCAA in late January. The 19-year-old did not announce a sponsor, but he signed a NIL with Puma in July of last year.

Hibbert is certainly a great athlete when it comes to triple jump and within a short period, he has garnered global attention for his exceptional abilities in the event.

He experienced a hamstring injury at last year’s World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary but he will be back better and ready to stun at the Olympic Games.

Meanwhile, Glen Mills, Chairman of Racers Grand Prix, expressed excitement about Hibbert's participation, saying: “Jaydon is the most exciting talent we have seen and the top sensation in the men's Triple Jump.

“We are happy to provide him the opportunity to compete at the highest level locally in front of his home fans.”

He is certainly poised to make his mark on the global stage, with eyes set on the Paris Olympic Games this summer. On his part, Roshawn Clarke, a rising star in the 400m hurdles, has already made waves in the athletics world.

In his long-awaited debut at the Hungarian capital, the youngster shattered the long-standing Jamaican 400m hurdles record previously held by Winthrop Graham and went on to finish fourth in the final.
