Noah Lyles has expressed a worrying remark ahead of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

The 2025 World Championships are scheduled for September 13 to 21 in Tokyo, Japan, setting another great stage for athletes to renew rivalries and fans to enjoy their favourite athletes toe the line.

However, Noah Lyles has raised a major concern ahead of the event, wishing that the event would come earlier than those dates. The triple world champion pointed out that he usually competes in the indoor races to work on his 100m and since the indoor roaster has not changed, that will be disadvantageous on his end.

Noah Lyles went down memory lane to the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar which were also scheduled around the same time (27 September and 6 October) and he revealed that it was not a cup of his tea despite winning gold in the men’s 200m and being a part of Team USA that won the men’s 4x100m title.

The American sprint king revealed that he has already started training but there are a few things he will be changing with his coach Lance Brauman.

“Yeah, I’m in the season now and we’ve been training, setting up and it’s a very weird structure now that the World Championships are going to be at the end of September,” Noah Lyles told Letsrun.com.

“I love that it’s the last event of the year, I wish it was earlier because it just kind of draws everything so far out and I was a part of that team that went in 2019 to Doha in late September, early October and I was not a fan of that time period.

“Especially, since we are not changing the indoor schedule which I usually do perform in and I’ve found that it helps a lot with my 100m, it really changes the dynamic of how we do things. Right now it’s easier for me and I’m just going to wait it out or take it very slowly and be patient with my training, that’s what I and Lance have been talking about recently.”

However, on the positive side, Noah Lyles added that going back to Tokyo is great for him following his huge fan base. He has been in talks with Adidas about his shoe and revealed that going to Japan once things are set would be a plus for him and the giant shoe brand.

Noah Lyles hinted that the shoe is in the works but will not come out the time he wants but the talks are going on well.

“Because it’s not as rust of a season so maybe instead of doing blocks in December or January we push it to like late January, early February. Having the World Championships in Tokyo is a plus for me and I have a very strong crowd in Japan and going off of that I’ve been working with Adidas to take advantage of that,” Noah Lyles said.
