Olympics 100m champion Noah Lyles has given a hint that he could race against NFL star Tyreek Hill but on his own terms.

Olympic champion Noah Lyles has maintained that him racing against NFL star Tyreek Hill will have to conform to the rules, stating that he would only race the star wide receiver on his own terms.

The six-time world champion also added that it will take a hard-to-turn-down amount of money for him to take to the track because he has taken years to build his name to earn the title of 'the world's fastest man'.

"I mean, if somebody wants to sponsor the event and we’re racing for millions of dollars and it’s on a track and we’re running 100m, then sure, we can race,” Lyles told NBC News.

“But it has to be legit. I’m not here to do gimmicks. You’re racing against a guy who has worked his whole life to get the title of ‘the world’s fastest man,’ and you’ve worked to be a great football player," added the Florida-born 27-year-old.

Lyles, who is a two-time Olympic 200m bronze medalist and a five-time Diamond League champion presumed: "You can’t just jump the line because you’re a great football player."

Lyles has given a hint on when his highly-awaited showdown with Hill could actually take place. While on the Beyond The Records podcast with fellow Olympics champions Grant Holloway and Rai Benjamin, the three discussed the possibility of track stars racing against NFL players akin to what was recently witnessed between veteran boxer Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

They agreed the NFL's 2025 Pro Bowl Games would be the ideal place, which could potentially set up Lyles and Hill, while Holloway expressed an interest in racing NFL wide receiver DK Metcalf.
