Olympics long jump champion Tara Davis-Woodhall was left gushing over her Paralympics star husband Hunter Woodhall, terming him ‘perfect specimen’ in her latest post.

Olympics long jump champion Tara Davis-Woodhall has been left in awe of her husband Hunter Woodhall, the Paralympics champion.

Hunter and Tara have been married since October 2022 but the long jump star is yet to get enough of the sprinter, going by her gushing post on social media.

Tara expressed her love and admiration for her husband when he was pictured in a recent shoot for GQ, explaining how she was lucky to be married the a ‘perfect specimen.’

“I’m sorry but is this real life? Like this is the most perfect specimen on this planet. And I call him my husband,” she posted on her Instagram stories.

Tara and Hunter met in 2017, when the long jump star made the first approach, a decision that she recently termed ‘reckless’, but one that eventually paid of in a big way.

Through the years, they have become each other’s support system, pushing each other in their careers until now when they are Olympics champions.

Their stories have also followed a similar path with Tara winning silver at the 2020 Olympics, before improving to gold at the Paris 2024 Games, while Hunter claimed silver and bronze in 200m T44, bronze in 400m T44 at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, bronze in 400T62 in Tokyo four years later, before he managed his first gold medal in 400mT62 at the 2024 Paris Games.

The two were among the star attractions in the stands at the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics as they cheered on each other and hugged and kissed when gold was delivered.

“I’m still not sure why I had to do that,” Tara said in a recent interview, regarding her decision to make the first move on Hunter.

“A 17-year-old being reckless, but it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. You know it led me to him and our future. It’s just been a blessing for sure,” she added, while explaining how the triumph in Paris completed their remarkable love story.

“Watching Hunter win the Paralympics was the icing on the cake for sure,” she said.
