Elaine Thompson-Herah is reportedly in Germany to see one of the doctors that treated Usain Bolt.

Double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah has reportedly flown to Germany seeking solutions to her injury sustained at the NYC Grand Prix.

The legendary Jamaican sprinter got injured in her last race in New York, where she finished eighth in 11.48s (-2.1). Immediately after crossing the finish line, she needed assistance to be carried off the track, which led to fans raising concerns that her Achilles injury suffered in the past few years may be back - thus may halt her progress ahead of the Jamaican trials and be at the Paris Olympic Games.

Following this, she released a statement concerning the worrying moment on her Instagram page.

"I felt something uncomfortable as I began to push I still tried to go but it got worse” so I am awaiting professional advice moving forward” thanks for your continuous support 🙏🏾," wrote the world's fastest woman alive.

It has now been reported that Thompson-Herah is in Germany to see the renowned Dr. Hans Müller-Wohlfahrt, who is known to have treated many footballers and athletes, including Usain Bolt.

She'll be hoping to find a permanent solution on time, so as to get fit on her history-making Olympic quest in Paris.
