Aaron Brown shared his thoughts on the race and explained why it might be great or bad for the sport.
Reigning Olympic champion Aaron Brown has analysed the race between Noah Lyles and IShowSpeed.
The Canadian sprint star revealed that the YouTuber had a great start off the blocks and if Noah Lyles was not keen, he could have been beaten.
However, Brown explained that for someone inexperienced, starting off the blocks strongly is not advised since they tend to burn out at the end of the race, the same happened to IShowSpeed who had showcased a lot of composure.

'He wanted to show the world that...' - US Olympic chief on why Noah Lyles opted to race with COVID-19 at Paris Olympics
Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles made the unpopular decision to race in 200m despite being ill, a decision that was backed by the US Olympic and Paralympic leadership.
Aaron Brown noted that Noah Lyles, the reigning Olympic champion noticed that IShowSpeed was getting away and had to include his sprinting prowess that helped him take top honours in the race.
However, Lyles has refuted claims that it was a close race, insisting that he did not want to damage IShowSpeed’s confidence was the reason behind his slow start.
“You can notice that IShowSpeed had the jump on Noah which I’m sure he wasn’t anticipating but he did pop straight up and so, when you get right up into your running, you’re going to be a lot faster at the beginning of the race,” Brown said in an interview with CBC.
“However, that’s going to hurt you at the back and as you can see Noah passed pretty easily. I think Noah was just going through the motions at the beginning and then when he saw the little bit of the jump, he hit it a little bit and then when he looked over, he was like ‘Yeah, I got this in the bag.’”
The former world champion had a different opinion on whether the race would be great for the evolution of track and field.
He revealed that there are two sides to the coin, either people get interested in the sport as a whole or just Noah Lyles, insisting that the power is in the hands of the people.

'I'm always happy to hear this'- Junelle Bromfield opens up about the one thing she will never get over
Noah Lyles' fiancée Junelle Bromfield has reflected on something she will never fully move past.
“It’s a gimmick, I think it could be, it depends on how it blossoms because it makes Noah bigger, he is racing against a huge personality and it might make people interested in the sport,” he said.
“People might also be interested in Noah vs athletics, it depends on how you leverage it.”
