After missing out on his main targets in 2024, Paris Olympic 200m silver medalist Kenny Bednarek has promised ruthlessness on track next year as he finally hopes to dominate entering into his prime.
Bednarek, the Tokyo Olympic 200m silver medalist, is yet to hit dizzying heights expected of him despite being talented. At 26, the American is entering a crucial stage in his development and his latest admission indicates 2025 could be his year to shine.

Kerley, a two time Olympic medalist, sees the Grand Slam as a platform to rediscover his winning formula,
"Overall, this season, a lot of ups and downs. I had four PBs. I did a lot this year, and next year I’m going to be dangerous,” he told Olympics.com.
The two-time Diamond League champion salvaged his season by beating fiercest rival Letsile Tebogo to gold in the Diamond League Final in Brussels, in September. Bednarek ran a fine bend to pass the Olympic champion and stayed ahead to take victory in 19.67.

Bednarek is gearing up for an action packed 2025 season with Grand Slam Track showdown on the horizon as well as World Athletics Championships.
While he was relieved to inflict some sweet revenge on Tebogo, he did admit that that his entire focus is on 2025. Key events to look up to in 2025 include the World Championships to be held in Tokyo, Japan and the World Indoor Championships in March.
"To come out at the end of the season with the win, gain my revenge from the Olympics, feels great. This just helps build confidence for next year. Just doing what I know what I’m supposed to do and living up to my expectations," he added.
