Recently, Bednarek returned to his hometown in Wisconsin after a successful season to give back in a big way — by inspiring young people and celebrating his roots.

After a whirlwind year that saw him win an Olympic medal and a Diamond League trophy, Bednarek spoke at the Boy Scouts of America's Leaders of Character Banquet, an event dedicated to shaping the values of young scouts.

For Bednarek, this opportunity to influence the next generation was particularly special.

“Honored to speak for a cause at the Boy Scouts of America – Leaders of Character Banquet. Thank you for having me,” Bednarek posted on Instagram.

In his red suit with gold details, the sprinter exuded confidence and pride as he addressed the audience, focusing on the importance of leadership and integrity.

The banquet's theme, Leaders of Character, could not have been more fitting.

For young, impressionable scouts eager to learn from role models, Bednarek served as a prime example of what it means to have a solid character.

During the event, he shared stories from his athletic journey, emphasizing the values of perseverance, discipline, and humility. As someone who has experienced the ups and downs of professional sports, Bednarek wanted to inspire the youth to stay grounded and committed to their goals.

After wrapping up a rigorous track season that included a standout win at the Brussels Diamond League, Bednarek returned home to a hero's welcome.

Wisconsin, the place where his journey began, celebrated the sprint sensation in grand style.

The city’s mayor organized a parade in Bednarek’s honor, complete with live music, marching bands, and a special segment where Bednarek himself ran alongside fellow citizens.

But the biggest surprise came when the mayor announced that October 12th would be commemorated as Kenny Bednarek Day.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Bednarek stood at the heart of the celebration, humbled by the recognition.

Reflecting on the event, Bednarek expressed his immense gratitude for the support he’s received from his hometown.

“It means the world to me to come back here and feel the love. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my community. To have a day named after me is surreal. I’m incredibly grateful.”

The parade, with its lively music and marches, brought out the best in the community spirit, uniting people from all walks of life.

Bednarek, always eager to connect with fansbmade sure to interact with everyone signing autographs and taking photos.

Despite his many accolades, Bednarek made it clear that his work is far from done.
