Elaine Thompson-Herah's rumored move to coach Rana Reider has sparked speculation with a cryptic post.

Rana Redier, Elaine Thompson-Herah’s alleged new coach has shared a cryptic post following the widespread news.

Rana Reider reacted to the allegations on his X handle, posting a short message but did not confirm whether the news was factual or incorrect.

The news was broken to the limelight by Gregory Haughton who revealed that the fastest woman alive might have headed to Stephen Francis’ advise and headed to the US for specialised training.

The controversial Rana Reider heads the Tumbleweed Track Club in Florida and has coached the likes of Christian Taylor, Nia Ali, Andre De Grasse, Dafne Schippers, Trayvon Bromell, Tiana Madison, and Marcell Jacobs.

Rana Reider said: “If only…”

The news comes after Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce confirmed their exit from Reynaldo Walcott. Each of the sprint queens did not confirm where they would be racing next but if the news of Thompson-Herah’s departure is true, then it would be the first time in her career that she would be coached overseas.

Meanwhile, Elaine Thompson-Herah’s former coach Stephen Francis despite still having a grudge on how she left the MVP Track Club, advised that she relocate to the US since that’s where she can only find the best coaches to handle the type of talent she has.

The five-time Olympic champion has suffered injuries that have hindered her from showing up in her greatest form in 2022 and 2023 and this season, she was even forced to miss the Paris Olympic Games due to the same.

Elaine Thompson-Herah was looking to defend her 100m and 200m titles but earlier in the season, she suffered a huge injury setback and had to make the deliberate decision to miss the Jamaican Olympic trials hence confirming her withdrawal from the Paris Olympic Games.

“If she were to ask me what she should do, I would tell her to go somewhere in the States and train. I don’t think she is going to be able to survive using the methods which they use out here to try and get her to top speed,” he said.

“She can’t fit in at MVP because there is too much talent right now which is a priority. It’s hard to coach somebody for over 10 years and not develop some kind of bond, and I don’t like to see what’s happening to her,” he concluded.
