Peter Bii disclosed that he was unaware of Beatrice Chebet’s running talent since at the time, she was not performing very well and the advised her to quit running and focus on other things.
However, Beatrice Chebet wanted to prove a point and she did just that with her impressive runs in recent years, proving to her partner that track and field is where she belongs.

She made her first national team as a senior athlete at the 2022 Africa Athletics Championships where she won a gold medal before proceeding to claim silver in the 5000m at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Chebet capped off her season with wins at the Commonwealth Games and the Diamond League Meeting final in Zurich. In 2023, she won the World Cross country title at the start of the season and went on to win bronze at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
The 2024 season was one for the books for Chebet as she started with the 10,000m world record at the Prefontaine Classic before heading to the Paris Olympic Games where she took gold in both the 5000m and 10,000m. She rounded up her season with a win at the Diamond League Meeting final in Brussels.

Bii pointed out that is one of the lucky people who got the chance to interact with Chebet and he knows her inside out, revealing that people are always quick to judge before they interact with someone.
“She is an amazing wife and I’ve seen a lot of people comment about her but they don’t really know her. sometimes people make comments or judge when they don’t really know a person,” he disclosed.
“She is amazing and I’m lucky, blessed to have her but she is just not a good athlete but a great wife. She is able to express herself and she will always air out her opinions and express herself in the best way possible. She is good and funny, also.
“She likes music and dances here and there, now we have Tik Tok and nowadays I’m always the camera man.”
