"To tell you the truth, I was kind of locked out with great people," he said.
"When I met Glenn Mills, we kind of just clicked and understood each other. It took us a while to get smooth, but we got along great."
Mills, Bolt's long-time coach, played a pivotal role in honing his technique and building the mental toughness required to compete at the highest level.
Bolt also highlighted the significance of his manager, who is now his best friend. "We grew up together, so that was easy," he shared.
The sprinter also credited his masseuse, whom he enlisted before his breakout year in 2008, and his agent, Ricky Sims, who joined his team when he began his track career.
"These were the guys that were really in my corner throughout my whole career," Bolt explained.
"They started in the struggle, and we kind of worked our way to the top. It’s always important to have a great team, people you can lean on when you make mistakes or when you need motivation."
