The two-time world bronze medallist has been down with injuries but his recent post is a warning to Noah Lyles, Christian Coleman and Co in 2025.

Former world indoor champion Trayvon Bromell has fired warning shots at Noah Lyles, Christian Coleman and other sprinters ahead of the 2025 season.

The American sprint king has been down with an injury that has slowed him down in the past season but has made a bold announcement as he plans his grand return.

Firstly, Trayvon Bromell wants to win the world indoor title before shifting focus to outdoor events. Bromell won the title at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland, claiming top honours in the 60m.

Last season, Christian Coleman claimed the win at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland beating Noah Lyles to second place but Bromell will be looking to stop their dominance as he eyes a grand return.

“I haven't taken indoors seriously since 2016. 2025 my goal is to make this team and bring back another title! Looking forward to the grind and the challenge. With God all is possible and no man can close the door that God has opened. Shalom,” Bromell said in a post on his Instagram page.

The two-time world championships bronze medallist added another post on his Instagram stories saying: "Let's shock the world."

In 2024, he was off to a great start, finishing third at the East Coast Relays before finishing fifth at the 13th Savona International Meeting. Bromell then competed at the Holloway Pro Classic where he failed to make the final.

He missed the US Olympic trials due to an injury and promised to be back better and hungrier for more. Seemingly, the time has come for him to show up.

“A lot of change, a lot of sacrifices, but these are the things I was built for. You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated. Change begins with the end of your comfort zone! Perseverance! Perseverance! Perseverance! I want it all,” he shared earlier this season after the trials.

In 2023, he also failed to make the US team to the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary after finishing sixth in the final of the men’s 100m.

Trayvon Bromell was just coming out of an injury setback and after that, he penned a heartfelt message expressing gratitude towards his great performance.

“First race since my surgery (10.14 SB). Thank you to God, from here we build. Foot injuries are hard to overcome, but I'm happy to know with maximum work on the Rehab side and minimal work on the track, we were able to get back out and compete with the best,” Bromell said.

“Thank you coach @ranareider and @tumbleweedtc for the work we put in. Thankful for my Training partners for motivating me day in and day out with this situation. Now, it's time to crunch in some track time. A lot of pain, a lot of tears, a lot of blood.”
