‘I have been blessed’ – Noah Lyles fires back at social media bullies for discrediting his success

Olympics 100m champion Noah Lyles has responded to his detractors following social media jibes directing at him over his track success.

Olympics 100m champion Noah Lyles remains unfazed by those who have discredited his success amid talks of a possible showdown with NFL stars Tyreek Hill.

Lyles has been engaged in a public feud with Hill after the Miami Dolphins wide receiver challenged him to a 50m dash, although the sprinter has insisted that will not happen unless it is an 100m race.

Lyles, howeer, revealed this week that a 60m contest could be possible and that talks are ongoing with Hill.

That has not gone down with some fans who feel he is just being arrogant while others do not even believe that being a world beating sprinter takes a lot of dedication and hard work.

“It’s ok, the thoughts of twitter do not reflect the thoughts of the world,” Lyles said in a post on X.

“In person I have been blessed to have people come up to me and tell me how much I have inspired them and others.”

Lyles is one of the most vocal athletes who do not shy away from speaking their mind although his sentiments have ruffled some feathers.

The three-time world 200m champion had a good outing at the Paris Olympics when he won gold in 100m before claiming bronze in 200m to end his season.

There was a feeling of disappointment, however, that he could not manage to claim gold in 200m, when he was floored by Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, although it later emerged that he was suffering from COVID-19 when he featured in the race.
