Roles were reversed as music superstar Rihanna gave Irish sprinter Rhasidat Adeleke the surprise of her life when she confirmed to be one of her biggest fans.
Irish track star Rhasidat Adeleke received the surprise of her life when music superstar Rihanna told her she is one of her fans as the two met at the singer’s event in London.
The 22-year-old Dublin-born athlete met with Rihanna at her Fenty Fair event in London on Tuesday and she was surprised when the pop star told her she has been following her sporting journey before they had a big embrace.
“Are you kidding me! I follow you, let’s get happy. Oh my God babe!” said a surprised Rihanna in a clip that has since gone viral.
The two talked for a while before posing for more photos with the sprinter later admitting the wholesome moment left her in awe.
“Fan girl moment meeting @badgalriri. Such an inspiration & forever breaking barriers in the industry. My younger self would’ve never thought that Rihanna would be following me & my journey!” Adeleke posted on Instagram.
Adelele termed Rihanna a "real OG" fan, while sharing that the “We Found Love” singer has been following her athletics career since 2022.
This comes after the track star recently revealed that she is a fan of Rihanna’s Fenty lip gloss which is part of her race-day beauty routine.
"If I had to pick one product forever, it would definitely be lip gloss. I love the Fenty Gloss Bomb in Hot Chocolate,” she told the Irish Examiner.
Reports also claim Adeleke is one of the brand ambassadors for Fenty Hair, one of the products under the pop star’s highly successful beauty business, which has pushed her net worth to $2 billion, making her the first female athlete to hit such heights.
