Julien Alfred has opened up about her different personalities that will leave many of her fans surprised.

Reigning Olympic champion Julien Alfred continues stunning her fans with her unique personality, from not being a huge fan of social media to being a loner and admitting she does not have 'any friends' when it comes to track and field.

Her personality might come off as weird to people who are yet to interact with her on a personal level. In an interview with The Telegraph, the sprint sensation from Saint Lucia revealed that she loves keeping stuff to herself and is not a huge fan of maintaining relationships especially when it comes to her fellow competitors.

She revealed that one time she might be laughing with a person but when it comes to serious business, she never cares about anything else but getting the job done.

The Olympic 200m silver medallist explained that when competing, she is always focused on accomplishing her goals hence the sudden shift in her mood.

"It's almost like an alter ego. Sometimes I can be just regular, having a little chit-chat like we are now, or a little laugh with somebody and just talking so calmly. But when I'm on the track, I don't talk. I don't have any friends," Julien Alfred revealed.

"I don't care who you are or how good our friendship is outside of track and field, it's just a whole different mindset and I'm just hungry," she added.

She crossed the finish line first in 10.72 seconds ahead of Richardson who came in second in a time of 10.87 seconds. Melissa Jefferson completed the podium in that race. The world indoor champion was not done making waves even after becoming Saint Lucia's first Olympic medallist.

Julien Alfred has not shied away from admitting that the legendary Jamaican sprinter and double world record holder is her idol. Growing up in Jamaica, she used to follow his lifestyle including that of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

"Even before the Olympics, I had to go back to that inner child and just look at how great he was and picture myself being just like him. So, I really had to do that the morning of my race, the finals day," Julien Alfred said.

"Before the day of the final, I had been doing a lot of visualisations with my coach. So I think in that moment when I woke up, I just wanted to take it to a different level and picture myself crossing the line and just celebrating and just being as good as he was."

After the Olympic Games, Julien Alfred did not rest on her laurels as she went on to finish second at the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich before winning the Diamond Trophy at the Diamond League Meeting final in Brussels.
