In-form Brian Komen has explained the story behind his signature pose whenever he wins a race.
Brian Komen is slowly becoming a household name and he will certainly be out to cement his name as one of the greats at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
One of the things that sets him apart from other athletes is his signature celebration when he wins races. Komen usually sticks his tongue out. The pose is something that is quickly catching the attention of track and field enthusiasts.
However, Komen noted that he did not copy it from anyone and most of the time, he just finds himself doing so unknowingly.

Brian Komen promises to deliver 1500m medal at Paris 2024 Olympics
In his bid to stop Norwegian and British dominance in the 1500m, Brian Komen has promised to deliver a medal for Kenya at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“I don’t even know how it came about but I usually, find myself just doing it. I didn’t copy it from anyone and it just comes naturally…it started when I was at the African Games. It has become a norm and I always find myself doing it,” Komen said.

Komen won his first major title at the African Games in Accra, Ghana, where he stunned Abel Kipsang to take the title and that’s when it all began.
He then came back into the country and finished second at the Kip Keino Classic before reigning supreme at the National Championships.

Athletics Kenya & NOC-K confident of more sprinters joining Ferdinand Omanyala in Olympics qualification
Athletics Kenya and the National Olympic Committee of Kenya have insisted on being confident that more sprinters will qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games before the deadline later this month.
The 25-year-old was also in a class of his own, as he made his Diamond League debut in Doha, beating Olympic silver medallist Timothy Cheruiyot to claim the top prize.
He now has eyes set on the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he intends to win a medal, hopefully gold, and he also has plans to silence Norwegian star Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
“Maybe back then people used to run…I don’t know. But I’m the first person from my family…I’m alone and I stay with my mother,” he said.
