Focused on self-improvement, Olympic champion Julien Alfred aims to dominate the 100m and 200m in 2025 despite tough competition from top sprinters like Shericka Jackson and Sha'Carri Richardson.
As she looks to continue her winning streak to the 2025 season, Julien Alfred believes she belongs to the chat and remains unfazed by the likes of Shericka Jackson and Sha’Carri Richardson.
The reigning Olympic 100m champion is aware of all the other athletes who will be plotting for her. However, Julien Alfred is just in a race against herself and wants to put her country on the world map all the time and always be a better athlete everytime she steps foot on the track.
Winning the Olympic gold medal in the 100m and a silver in the 200m was motivation enough for her to know that she has the ability to beat the unbeatable and write her name in the books of history.

'My fiancée is at home'- Noah Lyles dismisses rematch pleas from YouTube star as he runs back to Junelle Bromfield
After beating IShowSpeed in a 50m race, Noah Lyles declined a rematch, urging the 21-year-old to train for the US trials instead while he headed home to his fiancée and $100,000 prize.
“For me, it’s just getting to the point that I want to get to, working hard towards that, putting my country on the map, proving to myself that I belong among the great athletes,” she told Olympics.com.
“My motivation is to be the best in the world, to be my best self, the best athlete I can be and to prove to myself that I belong here. That’s my source of motivation.”
Next season brings yet another challenge where she will be up against bigwigs at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Julien Alfred will be looking to win the 100m gold medal and also impress in the 200m but a lot of opposition stands in her way.
The world indoor champion will be up against defending champion Sha’Carri Richardson whom she stunned at the Paris Olympic Games. The American went into the race as a favourite to win the gold medal but was forced to settle for silver after Julien Alfred outsmarted her.
In the 200m, an injured Shericka Jackson could not race at the Olympic Games this season and will be back next season hungry for more. Shericka Jackson is the fastest woman alive in the 200m and she will be back with a bang to defend her world title and continue chasing the late Florence Griffith-Joyner’s world record.
On her part, reigning Olympic champion Gabby Thomas also wants the world title to her name and will be fighting for that in Tokyo.
