The final World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting of 2023 takes place on Sunday, September 10 at the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial in Zagreb, Croatia.
World record holder Beatrice Chepkoech and Africa’s fastest man, Ferdinand Omnyala are some of the Kenyans who will be competing at the event. Most athletes will be using the event as a build-up ahead of the Prefontaine Classic, the final Diamond League Meeting on September 16 and 17 in Eugene, USA.

ATHLETICS Beatrice Chepkoech to attack world record in Zagreb as Omanyala faces off against familiar foes
Chepkoech has eyes on the record which currently stands at 5:52.80 and was set by Germany’s Gesa Felicitas Krause.
Others competing will include Oblique Seville and Marcel Jacobs who will be challenging Omanyala in the men’s 100m.
Kipng’etich Ngeno will be in action in the men’s 800m after a rather unsatisfactory show at the just-concluded World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
