The global showpiece will be held from August 19 to 27 in Budapest, Hungary.

The World Athletics Championships are set to take place from August 19 to 27 in Budapest, Hungary and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) will beam the event live. 

The coverage will be available on BBC TV, iPlayer, Red Button, Radio 5 Live, and the BBC Sport website and app.

As reported by BBC, Katharine Merry, and Allison Curbishley will provide commentary on all the key races on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds. Reports, live text commentary, clips, and highlights will be available on the BBC Sport website, app, and across social media.

One particular race that will be the highlight of the global showpiece will be the men's 100m final which will be at 4:35 p.m. EAT on Sunday, August 20. The women’s final will be on Monday, August 21 at 9:50 p.m. EAT. 

Another final that will be a thriller will be the men’s and women’s 1500m races. Two-time World and Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon will be in action in the women’s race which will be on Tuesday, August 22 at 9:30 p.m.

In the men’s race, Timothy Cheruiyot will be up against Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen on Wednesday, August 23 at 9:15 p.m. Other races include the men’s and women’s 800m races and the steeplechase too.
