Here's how to follow and watch live the New York City Marathon.

More than 50,000 runners will run across New York City’s five boroughs and travel 42km for the annual New York City marathon.

Some of the Kenyans in the women’s race include defending champion Hellen Obiri, reigning Boston Marathon champion Hellen Obiri, former world record holder Brigid Kosgei, and Ednah Kiplagat.

The men’s charge will be led by the 2021 New York City Marathon champion Albert Korir who will be joined by debutant Edward Cheserek.

The Professional Women’s open division will start at 3:40 p.m. East African Time while the men’s race will start at 4:05 p.m.

The local New York City viewers will follow the action live via WABC-TV on Channel 7, the national coverage in the United States will be covered through ESPN which will be available on both television and the ESPN App for comprehensive live coverage.

On the international scene, Japanese viewers will watch TV Asahi while people following in Mexico and Central America will watch through ESPN International.

In the Middle East, viewers will watch through TBD while in Africa, followers will watch through SuperSport.
