Mark Otieno did not mince his words when he said he would have a great comeback next season.
From the look of things, everything is working out perfectly for the former national champion who wants to come back and take what rightfully belongs to him.
Coming back from a doping ban is always tough and Otieno is not an exception, however, regardless of the challenges, he is not giving up on his dreams. He resumed training a while ago after a mixed 2024 season.

Otieno wanted to make it to the Paris Olympic Games but ran out of time after he failed to hit the qualifying mark by the deadline. His dream still lives on and he has been burning the midnight oil to ensure he is ready for 2025.
Off the track, he has also been wracking up deals with his latest being a part of the Enda sportswear family. The new brand is specially made in Kenya for Kenyans by processing running shoes in the country.
An elated Mark Otieno shared the update on his Instagram page, attending the launch of the company’s first store.
“Humbled to be a part of Enda sportswear first store launch today. A sign of great things to come,” Otieno captioned the series of photos and videos shared.
With such dedication and hard work, Otieno will be one of the sprinters to watch in 2025, especially as he eyes redemption. The 2025 World Championships will be the major event for next year and just like other athletes, Otieno has eyes on that.
In one of his Instagram posts, Otieno revealed that his son remains one of the main reasons he works hard and never misses a day. He hopes to make the young lad proud in the coming season.

The 2024 season has been quite productive for Otieno who started with the indoor tour before making his first national team since the doping ban ended. He competed at the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas.
The 31-year-old then competed at the Kenyan Olympic trials where he did not achieve the qualification time for the Paris Olympics. He finished second behind Ferdinand Omanyala.
