Grant Holloway outperformed Daniel Roberts at the Zurich Diamond League with Sasha Zhoya and Freddie Crittenden also showcasing strong finishes.

Olympics 110-meter hurdles gold medallist Grant Holloway easily outstripped competition at the Zurich Diamond League on Thursday night, delivering a stellar performance with a time of 12.99 seconds.

This commanding victory not only highlighted his elite status but also showed a significant gap as Paris Olympics silver medalist Daniel Roberts finished in a disappointing fifth place.

Holloway maintained his form and momentum throughout the race taking a clear lead early on and never looking back. His finishing time marked one of the fastest in the world this season reinforcing his dominance in the hurdles.

Not far behind was the rising star, French hurdler Sasha Zhoya, who continues to impress in the athletics world. Zhoya set a personal best of 13.10 seconds, clinching an admirable second place.

American Freddie Crittenden followed closely securing third place with a solid time of 13.15 seconds.

The race was tightly contested, with Hansle Parchment from Jamaica and Daniel Roberts of the USA sharing fourth place, both clocking in at 13.18 seconds.

Parchment's time was a season's best for him, and despite Roberts' lag behind Holloway, his equal standing with Parchment showcased the depth and competitiveness of the event.

Japanese hurdler Rachid Muratake finished in sixth place with a commendable time of 13.20 seconds.

Following him was another American, Cordell Tinch, who finished with a time of 13.31 seconds reflecting the strong international field in the hurdles.

Italian Lorenzo Ndéle Simonelli also showed his mettle by finishing eighth with a time of 13.45 seconds.

Rounding out the pack, Swiss hurdler Jason Joseph completed the race in ninth place clocking in at 13.60 seconds. Although he finished last among the competitors, his participation added to the international diversity and competitive spirit of the event.
