Miami, Florida, has been announced as the host city for the second Grand Slam Track event of 2025, joining Kingston and Los Angeles, with races set for May 2-4 at the Ansin Sports Complex.
Miami has joined Kingston & Los Angeles as announced one of the host cities for the Grand Slam Track league 2025 season, with one more venue to be announced.
The edition of the slam in Miami will take place at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar in May 2, 3, and 4 in 2025. Michael Johnson, founder of the lucrative league explained that Miami would be an ideal place for hosting the event following its great reputation when it comes to hosting major events.
“South Florida knows how to host big events, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing with Grand Slam Track,” Michael Johnson said.

After beating IShowSpeed in a 50m race, Noah Lyles declined a rematch, urging the 21-year-old to train for the US trials instead while he headed home to his fiancée and $100,000 prize.

According to Michael Johnson, Miami provide the ideal stage for Grand Slam Track. The faster racers in the world will assemble with the main focus being to make names for themselves but also compete for huge prizes.
"We are thrilled to have been selected as one of the host cities for the inaugural season of the Grand Slam Track," City of Miramar’s Mayor Wayne M. Messam said.
"This event will not only showcase our city's state-of-the-art facilities but also provide an opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship."
Each year, 48 athletes will be named as Grand Slam Track Racers. The roster of Racers already announced features stars from across the world of track and includes Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Melissa Jefferson, Masai Russell, Quincy Hall, Fred Kerley, Kenny Bednarek, Cole Hocker, Yared Nuguse, Grant Fisher, and Josh Kerr.
Matthew Hudson-Smith, Ackera Nugent, Roshawn Clarke, Nikki Hiltz, Cyrena Samba-Mayela, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Alison Dos Santos, Ronald Kwemoi, Muzala Samukonga, Clement Ducos, Marileidy Paulino, Jess Hull, Daniel Roberts, Shamier Little, Marco Arop, Devon Allen, Jasmine Jones, Jereem Richards, Luis Grijalva, Rushell Clayton, Agnes Ngetich, and Tsigie Gebreselama have also been confirmed.
