American sprint sensation Fred Kerley has called for concerned parties to help him track his vehicle after it was stolen from his house in broad daylight by a couple of goons he described as “unguided young men” on his X page.

Kerley, a silver medalist in the 100m race at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, pleaded for help after a video showed an unmasked man driving away with his Silver Audi s5 car on CCTV footage, pleading for people to call the authorities and help track back.

In the video, two men get out of a car that is packed on the side of the road, approaching two vehicles that have been parked on the driveway. One gets into the black Mercedes as the other gets into the Silver Audi which has been packed adjacent to the Mercedes.

The man who approached the Audi returns to the vehicle parked on the roadside and waits. The man in the Mercedes then gets out of the car and approaches the Audi, and after a few seconds, is seen reversing with it from the driveway before speeding away behind the vehicle belonging to the goons.

Kerley started his career competing in the 400 meters until 2020, when he transitioned to the 100 meters and 200 meters.

He has earned several medals at the World Championships in the 400 m and 4 × 400 m relay including an individual bronze and a relay gold at the 2019 edition. Kerley claimed 100 m gold in the 2022 edition.

The 28-year-old  is one of only 3 men along with Michael Norman and Wayde van Niekerk to go sub-10 seconds in 100 m, sub-20 seconds in 200 m and sub-44 seconds in 400 m.

He is a two-time winner of the Diamond League series, winning the 400 m in 2018 and the 100 m in 2021.
