Ferdinand Omanyala is slowly getting his act together after a quite disappointing season that saw him fail to live up to the billing at the Paris Olympic Games and the Diamond League Meeting in Rome.
Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala is slowly picking up the pieces as he seeks a strong comeback next season with eyes fixed on the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Omanyala has not enjoyed a great 2024 season following his semifinal elimination from the Paris Olympic Games and failing to make the cut to the Diamond League Meeting in Brussels. However, he is not giving up on the dream and will be picking up from where he left from.
As he seeks a great comeback, he shared an inspirational quote on his X handle, noting that he is not letting anything stop him as he seeks a ceremonious comeback next season.

Boldon wrote off Tebogo, Simbine and Omanyala before the Paris 2024 Olympics, stating he did not see them achieving a podium place at the games in the 100 meters.
“Dream chasing is about showing up everyday, embracing the setbacks and never losing sight of your vision. Never stop chasing what sets your soul on fire,” he shared.
The Commonwealth Games champion started his season with an amazing indoor tour where he finished an impressive fourth in the men’s 60m at the World Indoor Championships. He proceeded to the Kip Keino Classic, finishing a disappointing fifth before the World Athletics Relays where Kenya’s 4x100m relay team finished fourth.
The 28-year-old then raced at the Prefontaine Classic where he finished an impressive second before completing the podium at the Racers Grand Prix.
Omanyala oozed class at the Kenyan Olympic trials, unleashing the beast in him and striking the second-fastest time of his career. He clocked an astonishing 9.79 seconds to win the race.
Before the Paris Olympic Games, Omanyala tested himself with the 100m race at the FBK Games in Hengelo where he claimed top honours. At the Olympics, the Kenyan sprint sensation was impressive in the heats, finishing first before fading to eighth place in the men’s semifinal.
He failed to get to the final but bounced back with a win at the Int. JOSKO Laufmeeting and proceeded to a second-place finish at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia. Omanyala then faded to seventh at the Diamond League Meeting in Rome.
