Ofili is named in a 10-man list for NCAA's highest award.
Louisiana State University (LSU) senior, Favour Ofili, has been named alongside nine other athletes in The Bowerman mid-season indoor watchlist.
The Bowerman is the highest award given to the best college male and female athletes for their outstanding performances in a season, and Ofili remaining on the mid-season watchlist shows her starting the 2023 season on a fantastic note is recognised.
It will be her sixth appearance on The Bowerman watchlist after competing in her first individual race of the season this past weekend.
Ofili ran in the 200m at the Razorback Invitational, where she raced to a fast 22.53s, which was just .01s behind the world-leading time of 22.52s, performed at altitude (converted to 22.59s in a normal enviroment).
She won the event, and her blazing time shattered the previous Facility Record of 22.72s set in 2016.
Ofili will later run the second leg in the women's 4x400m relay, clocking the fastest split time of 51.13s for LSU's team, as they collectively ran 3:29.94 - the fifth best time in the NCAA and less than a second away from LSU's School Record (SR).
