Favour Ashe clocked a lifetime best, tied his School Record and surpassed the World Championships qualifying standard to make the 100m final at the NCAA Championships.
Nigeria's fastest man Favour Ashe, left no stone unturned in his 100m semifinal, as he clocked a new Personal Best (PB) of 9.96s to smoothly win his heat and qualify for the final at the NCAA Championships.
By doing this, Ashe smashed his previous PB of 9.99s recorded while winning the Nigerian trials last year to become the Nigerian champion.

He has also punched his ticket to the World Championships in Budapest, surpassing the automatic qualifying mark of 10.00s.
The Auburn University sophomore student had a perfect start and cruised to the finish line, looking to not put in too much effort, which meant he still had more in his legs.
He finished ahead of Texas Tech's Courtney Lindsey in 10.03s and Robert Gregory in 10.04s.
Ashe will now compete in the final, gunning to upgrade from his silver medal won last year and placing second at the South Eastern Conference (SEC) Championships by winning the NCAA title and becoming the fastest man in the NCAA.
