Multiple Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon is charged for even more accomplishments ahead of the 2025 athletics season after a well-deserved holiday treat.
Following an extraordinary season that saw her clinch gold in the 1500m and silver in the 5000m at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Kenya’s celebrated runner, Faith Kipyegon, took a vacation with her family.
Sponsored by the Kenya Tourism Board, the getaway marked a pause for Kenya’s 'smiling assassin', as she took time off from the track to reconnect with her loved ones and experience Kenya’s rich cultural heritage.
The Olympian, who continues to dominate middle-distance running, expressed her gratitude for the getaway, noting how it has recharged her for the upcoming season.

Faith Kipyegon enjoys well-earned holiday with safari game drive with family
Faith Kipyegon is recharging her batteries by sampling the best of flora and fauna having taken her family on a safari game drive ahead of a grueling 2025 campaign.
“As athletes, we have to give time to our families and travel around Kenya to see how other people live. I went to Amboseli and met the Maasai people, and I was so happy to learn about their culture,” Kipyegon said in an interview with Citizen TV.
For Kipyegon, who is also a mother, the chance to explore Kenya with her daughter and family was invaluable.
“Being away from the running track and having the experience of traveling around Kenya with my family has been refreshing,” she added.
Kipyegon’s break comes after a season of unprecedented accomplishments.
Her gold medal win in the 1500m race in Paris marked her third consecutive Olympic title in this event, a feat no other athlete has achieved in the 1500m.
In addition to her Olympic success, she claimed her fifth Diamond League title and wrapped up her season at Athlos NYC, a high-profile women’s-only track event.
These accomplishments saw her nominated for the prestigious World Athletics Athlete of the Year Award, though she did not make the final cut.
