Athletics power couple Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield have finally gotten engaged after nearly seven years of dating, adding another chapter to their remarkable love story.
Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield has expressed her delight after saying “yes” to Noah Lyles’ proposal on Sunday.
Lyles got engaged to his girlfriend in stylish fashion on Sunday with his soon-to-be wife accepting his marriage proposal and the two have celebrated with friends and family.
The American sprint king proposed to his woman with a big heart covered in pink flowers and surrounded by petals and white candles. The big heart had a question “Will you marry me” on it.
Wearing a black suit, with a gold stripe, Lyles went on one knee to ask for Bromfield’s hand in marriage and the Jamaican sprinter, donning a chic gray dress, embellished with small mirrors and accessorized with a diamond-studded necklace accepted the proposal before the American put the ring on her finger.
“To My Future Wife I Will Love You Forever,” Lyles posted on social media.
Bromfield later posted, “Engaged” accompanying the post with a clip of her dancing with her friends.
The engagement completes a remarkable love story among the sprinters who have been together since 2017.
Lyles and Bromfield have been through several ups and downs, acting as each other’s support system over the years in their athletics careers and personal life.
Bromfield has particularly been on the receiving end especially this year when she received death threats from Jamaica for her support for Lyles during the Paris Olympics when she backed her boyfriend over her country-mates who were also competing for medals.
