Five-time Berlin Marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge has shared tips on what has pushed him to achieve great milestones in his marathon career.

Widely regarded as the greatest marathoner of all time, Eliud Kipchoge has shared one rule that has helped him achieve great milestones in his career.

The five-time Berlin Marathon champion explained that self-belief is one of the most crucial aspects of his life.

Kipchoge explained that he always believes in his training and teammates and that’s what has pushed him to achieve great milestones.

“Self-belief is very crucial and I totally believe in myself, my teammates, and my training. That’s what pushes me beyond the barriers,” he explained.

The four-time London Marathon champion became the first man to run under two hours in an unofficial marathon. He also made history at the Berlin Marathon, becoming the first man to win the race five times.

Kipchoge is also among the three men to have won the Olympic title over the marathon two times and he will be hoping to make history at next year’s Olympic Games by winning the marathon a record three times.

He has won 11 World Marathon Majors and only lost three since he made his debut over the full marathon. He lost the Boston Marathon earlier this year, finishing sixth in the race, the 2020 London Marathon, finishing eighth and he also lost the 2013 Berlin Marathon where he finished second.

The two-time Olympic marathon champion also explained that any human being can do whatever they want. He explained that as human beings, we set limits and it is possible to break them anytime.

“No human is limited…any human can go beyond his limits and thoughts. My advice to anyone who is struggling to break his own limits is to believe in themselves. Who sets the limit anyway?” Kipchoge said.
