Eliud Kipchoge, who has won the Berlin Marathon a record five times, has revealed just which win is his all-time favourite.
Eliud Kipchoge has shared which races are special to him during his highly successful marathon career.
Kipchoge did not feature at this year's Berlin Marathon where Ethiopia's Milkesa Mengesha ran a time of 2:03:17 to win ahead of Kenya's Cybrian Kotut (2:03:22) as Ethiopian Haymanot Alew rounded up the podium in 2:03:31.
The marathon legend, who broke the world record twice in the German capital, has revealed just which Berlin Marathon win holds dear to his heart.
"My favourite are two, 2018 and 2022 because that's where I broke the world record," he told NTV.

Eliud Kipchoge believes the future of marathon running is promising, with athletes motivated to achieve faster times and carry forward the legacy as he looks forward to more races in 2025.
Kipchoge won the Berlin race in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023.
In 2018 en route to winning the Berlin Marathon Kipchoge ran the fastest-ever time at the 30km mark of 1:26:45 as he eventually went on to break the world record with a time of 2:01:39.
Kipchoge eventually went on to lower his own record as he ran a time 2:01:09 at the 2022 Berlin Marathon to become the first man to win the race five times.
His Berlin record was eventually broken by Kelvin Kiptum in October 2023, who set 2:00:35 in Chicago, just months before the 24-year-old died in a car accident.
