Five-time Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah has broken her silence following rumors of finding a new coach in Florida.

Elaine Thompson-Herah has made an online comeback amid rumors on her relocation to Florida to train under coach Rana Reider.

The five-time Olympic champion has been on the spot after parting ways with her coach, Reynaldo Walcott and fans are awaiting official confirmation from her or her management to confirm her next move.

However, she seems unfazed by that as she continues living her life and enjoying the festive season that has since began. The Jamaican sprint queen broke her silence with a series of photos shared to her Instagram page to seemingly note that she is travelling.

She captioned: “Outside bound,” adding a black heart emoji at the end of the caption.

The photos have left fans guessing with some still asking whether she will be training in the US. One fan asked: “Will you be training in the US now?”

Another added: “Her attire looks like she is headed to somewhere in Europe, maybe Italy.”

“All the best for your season,” another fan commented. Other comments were from fans gushing over her flawless skin and fashion sense.

In recent days, news about Elaine Thompson-Herah relocating to the US has spread like wildfire but the source, Jamaican sprint legend Gregory Haughton clarified on what he meant when he mentioned that the 2022 world 100m bronze medallist had a found a new home in Florida.

He disclosed that before sharing the news with the world, he received a call from close sources who revealed that Elaine was in Florida getting treatment for her Achilles injury but had also joined a training camp in preparation for 2025.

However, Elaine Thompson-Herah’s management reached out to the three-time Olympic medallist and requested that he clarified that she was only in Florida to receive treatment and not to train.

Following the call, Gregory Haughton wrote a lengthy statement to clarify what he meant but still maintained that her management might be in talks with Rana Reider.

“At the end of the day, I respected the fact the call was made, and I also appreciated the fact that they took the time to listen to what I had to say regarding my intentions behind it all,” Gregory Haughton said.

“It must be said that the personnel from Elaine's team stated that the video was not completely accurate and adamantly refuted any claims being made about Elaine having an official new camp.

“Yes, Elaine is in Florida getting treatment, yes Elaine may have associates that are associated with the camp in question, but let it be heard here as I set the record straight, Elaine has not found a new home plain and simple.”

On her part, Elaine Thompson-Herah has struggled to make an impact this season, from her season opener at the Prefontaine Classic to the USATF New York City Grand Prix. She finished ninth at the Prefontaine Classic before also finishing ninth at the USATF New York City Grand Prix.

After her dismal performance at the New York City Grand Prix, Elaine Thompson-Herah released a statement noting that she would end her season after her persistent injury and will have to focus on the 2025 season.
