The American sprint king reflected on his journey from 20fred k12, emphasizing the importance of dreaming big, believing in yourself, and working hard to overcome challenges and achieve success.

Former world 100m champion Fred Kerley has gone down memory lane to 2012 where all he had was a dream to make it and he is indeed proof that if you put in the work, things certainly fall into place.

The Olympic 100m bronze medallist shared a screenshot of a post he seemingly shared 12 years ago and it comes as a motivation booster to any athlete or person who has a dream to make it to the top and might be facing challenges.

In the post, Fred Kerley advised that athletes should not listen to what people have to say but their main focus should be on believing in their dreams and working hard towards achieving those. He added that dreams should be big enough to ‘scare’ an athlete but if they are just basic, then there’s no need of dreaming.

“Man, I’m a just a kid from Taylor tx just trying to live life to the fullest and just trying to make it out of taylor I will make it out and ‘if you don’t dream big, there’s no use of dreaming. If you don’t have faith, there’s nothing worth believing. One thing I want to say to everybody, believe in your dream, don’t believe in what everybody has to say. Just believe in yourself,” Fred Kerley said in the post shared.

Meanwhile, Fred Kerley is currently enjoying his off season as he prepares to go back to training anytime from now with the hope of having a resounding comeback in 2025.

This season, the American sprint king has faced a series of challenges but came out stronger and managed to put his best foot forward in events that mattered the most. He started the season on a low note where he parted ways with his sponsors Asics but managed to show up and deliver at the US Olympic trials and the Paris Olympic Games.

He also raced at a series of Diamond League Meetings and at the final in Brussels, he finished third in the men’s 100m and fifth in the 200m.
