Bolt's 100m win at the 2008 Olympics was hard to believe and breaking the record would definitely raised some questions
Multiple Olympic champion Usain Bolt has revealed how he encountered a journalist in 2008 after he surged to victory at the Beijing Olympics.
Bolt blitzed to glory both in 100m and 200m to announce his arrival to the world in sprints. He took home his first Olympic gold in the 100m race, setting a world record that stands to date. However, his big moment didn’t come without some drama.

Bolt is considered one of the most successful sprinters and is mostly used as reference for hard work.
In his Faster than Lightning autobiography, Bolt mentioned that the aftermath of his 100m win in Beijing went up in flames when a journalist came to him with a serious issue that left him wondering its motive. The journalist asked the freshly crowned Olympic champion a rather bizarre question, “So, Usain, you just popped on to the scene. What should we think about you running so fast out of nowhere?”

Bolt was under immense pressure after losing out to rival Yohan Blake during the trials but silenced his critics in the competition proper
This did not go down well with the three-time Olympic 200m champion who felt like the reporter was trying to insinuate something suspicious, like maybe doping or using performance-enhancing drugs.
The 11-time world champion lost his temper when he told the journalist, “Hold on, stop a second. I just started running fast? How long have you been doing this job for?” an irate Bolt fired back at the journalist.
The sprinter penned the answer he gave in his book, “I’ve been running fast since I was 15, that’s seven years of successful track and field already. I won the World Juniors and I hold the world junior record in the 200m. I’ve won CARIFTA Games medals and IAAF Rising Star Awards” he said.
The 38-year-old said he requested the journalist to do his research before facing him again. "Come on, do your homework before you ask stupid questions.”
