Yohan Blake slammed Jamaica fans for not showing him respect on Sunday but it is now turning out that Usain Bolt warned him of trouble ahead five years ago.

A video of Usain Bolt speaking about how Yohan Blake disrespected legendary coach Glen Mills has resurfaced following the latter’s injury woes.

Blake has struggled with injuries and this season, the former Olympic Games 100m silver medallist failed to make the team to the Paris Olympic Games, where he intended to hang his spikes.

The video comes at a time when Blake had conducted an interview, speaking about his struggle with injuries and how Jamaican fans do not honour him after he stopped winning races on the global scene.

In the video, Bolt was irked by Blake’s actions towards his coach, noting that the coach had made them achieve milestones they had never accomplished in history.

Bolt noted that the coach guided Blake to an Olympic silver medal and a world title but how he treated the tactician made him angry.

“When you get to a point where a coach is going to develop your talent and bring you to appoint where you are great and then you disrespect the coach, Glen Mills, I can’t sit quiet,” Bolt said.

“I’ve seen Yohan Blake win a silver medal in the Olympics, he won a World Championship gold medal and then he disrespects the coach. At his highest level, he has never been there and he wants to disrespect the coach,” the fastest man alive added.

Bolt added that after Blake’s injury, coach Mills advised him to take a different direction but he insisted on doing what he felt was right. However, the injuries kept coming back, something that has affected him to date.

The multiple Olympic champion believes that listening to coach Mills would have changed Blake’s life but he was adamant. He argued that the coach always wanted the best for them.

Under the tactician, Bolt made huge milestones, including breaking the 100m and 200m world records, winning eight Olympic titles and 11 World Championships titles among other accolades.

“It is something personal because he is my coach and I know he is not going to be happy with the fact that I’m defending him but athletes should know themselves and know that Glen Mills has taken me to the highest level,” he said.

“Yohan Blake trains hard, that’s not a secret, but when he got injured, the coach told him to do something but he decided to take his direction. They are comfortable to disrespect the coach and make him look bad. It’s very sad to see that because I trust my coach because I believe anything my coach says will work out well,” he added.
