Former 100m World Champion Christian Coleman is gearing up for an action-packed season, having announced a tight calendar.

American sprinter Christian Coleman has officially announced his season opener, mapping out an action-packed calendar as he seeks redemption after a mixed 2024 campaign.

The former 100m World Champion, had a rollercoaster season last year as he clinched the World Indoor 60m Championship but struggled to carry that momentum into the outdoor season, ultimately missing out on qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Determined to bounce back, Coleman is set to embark on an intense competitive schedule, beginning on April 5 at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida.

His next appearance will be on April 19 at the Tom Jones Invitational, also in Gainesville.

This will serve as another opportunity for the American sprinter to fine-tune his form ahead of his highly anticipated 2025 Diamond League campaign.

Coleman will kick off his Diamond League journey in Xiamen, China, on April 26.

Notably, he emerged victorious at the same event in 2024, edging out fellow American sprinter Fred Kerley. He will be aiming for another strong start this year.

A week later, on May 3, he will compete in another Diamond League meeting in Shanghai, where he is expected to face stiff competition from Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo and Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson.

Following his Shanghai appearance, Coleman will remain in Asia for one more event, the Seiko Grand Prix in Tokyo, Japan, on May 18.

After wrapping up his Asian tour, Coleman will return to the United States in July for the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon.

The highlight of his domestic season will be the USATF Outdoor Championships, scheduled for July 31 to August 3.

This event will be crucial for Coleman as he seeks to cement his position among the top American sprinters heading into major international competitions.

With a packed season ahead, Coleman is gearing up for what could be a defining year in his career, as he looks to reclaim his status as one of the world’s fastest men.
