Nigeria's trio of Chioma Onyekwere, Obiageri Amaechi, Ashley Anumba, and Sade Olatoye gave impressive performances in their Canada meets, recording their best performances this season.
African Record (AR) holder Chioma Onyekwere looks to have rediscovered her best form in good time after throwing an impressive distance of 60.13m to win the women's Discus event at the Victoria Classic in Canada.
Onyekwere's mark was a Meeting Record and a follow-up to her 61.61m thrown days before in Vancouver, showing she's back to her 60m shape after going through weeks of sub-standard 50m marks.

Her compatriots Obiageri Amaechi finished third at 57.75m, and newly crowned National champion Ashley Anumba was fourth at 57.38m.

It was a position swap from their performances in Vancouver, where Anumba was third at 59.64m and Amaechi fourth throwing a Season's Best (SB) of 57.77m.
Meanwhile, in the women's hammer throw, Sade Olatoye settled for second in an impressive SB of 69.36m, bettering her performance of 67.17m in Vancouver.

Onyekwere will be aiming to compete in more meets to perfect her techniques and rhythms ahead of the World Championships in Budapest.
