Victor interjected and said: “I know Fred, I know I can beat him in the 1500m. I can put anything on it…I’ll beat him in the 1500m.”
Kerley then asked him how much he would want to bet and the Grenadian said Ksh 7,305 as they all laughed. He then added and said he would buy Kerley food. “A meal…a steak dinner,” he said.
Olympic champion Marcel Jacobs was also in the mix and he asked Victor about his surety on beating Kerley since he is a great athlete. Jacobs said: “Are you sure?”
