Here's a round-up of the best performers of Nigerian athletes at various NCAA conference championships.

Last weekend had almost all Nigerian college athletes in action as they competed for their various schools for honours at their conference championships.

Here's a round-up of the results of the top performances at each conference championship.

South Eastern Conference (SEC) Championships

Louisiana State University's (LSU) Godson Brume edged out compatriot and defending champion Favour Ashe to win the SEC 100m title in a Personal Best (PB) of 10.04s, while Ashe won silver for Auburn University (AU) in 10.08s.

Brume also anchored his school's 4x100m relay team to a Collegiate Record (CR) of 37.90s, making it double gold medals.

In the women's category, Favour Ofili ran the second leg of LSU's 4x100m relay squad that won the gold medal, as Abasiano Akpan of AU finished sixth in the women's 400m Hurdles.

PAC-12 Championships

Being the only Nigerian athlete at this championship, Udodi Onwuzurike lived up to expectations by winning the 100m silver medal in 10.23s, behind University of Oregon's Micah Williams in 10.22s.

About forty minutes later, Onwuzurike smashed his PB and Stanford University's 200m record of 20.08s with an outstanding 19.91s. His time is No.3 in the world and the third-fastest by a Nigerian athlete in history.

BIG 12 Championships

Ezekiel Nathaniel won the silver medal in the men's 400m Hurdles in a Season's Best of 48.52s, which automatically surpassed the World Championships qualifying standard of 48.70s.

He was also part of his school's 4x400m relay squad that won the gold medal, making it back-to-back titles for Baylor University.

His teammate Imaobong Uko secured a 4x400m gold medal with their women's squad and got to the finals of the 400m and 200m.

Finally, Nnamdi Chinecherem threw a distance of 74.40m on his first throw, which was enough to secure the win and become the first Javelin thrower in Baylor University's history to win back-to-back titles at the championships.

C-USA Championships

Alaba Akintola proved why he's 'The Best' sprinter in the C-USA circuit after successfully retaining his sprint titles at the championships.

Akintola sped to a brilliant Season's Best (SB) of 10.05s to win the 100m title for the second consecutive year, inspiring a Nigerian 1-2 finish as Karlington Anunagba came second also in an SB of 10.20s.

The Middle Tennessee State University sophomore student also successfully defended his 200m title in 20.43s, making it the second consecutive year he'll complete the sprint double.

Likewise, his teammate Stephen Eloji stormed to a lifetime best of 13.50s (0.7) to win the men's 110m Hurdles, becoming the fourth-fastest hurdler in Nigerian history.

He led a Nigerian 1-2 finish as Bashiru Abdullahi of the University of Texas San Antonio clocked 13.71s.

Big West Championships

John Clifford blazed to a windy 10.26s (2.4) for victory in the men's 100m final, defeating Tristyn Flores in 10.30s. Then in the 200m, he claimed 200m silver medal with a massive PB of 20.98s (0.5).

Big Sky Championships

Raphael Egbuchilem of the University of Nothern Colorado blazed to a new PB of 46.07s to win the men's 400m title ahead of Spencer Barrera in 46.59s.

Mountain West Championships

Victor Akhalu clocked a new PB of 10.28s (0.9) to finish second behind Javin Bostic (10.25s) in the men's 100m final, setting a new School Record for the University of New Mexico.

BIG 10 Championships

In the colours of the University of Michigan, Dubem Amene ran 46.20s for the bronze medal after clocking an SB of 46.09s in his qualifying heat.

Sun Belt Championships

Texas State University freshman Utitofon Sam threw a PB of 52.44m to win the Discus silver medal, while Prosper Ekporere also won the same colour of medal in the 110m Hurdles clocking 14.56s at the ASUN Outdoor Championships.
