Julius Yego will be partnering with a leading American company to launch the Kenya Golden Arm project to nurture young javelin talent in Kenyan schools.

Julius Yego is not resting on his laurels as he seeks to have a formidable heir to his throne when it comes to Javelin.

The 2015 world javelin champion has a project in the pipeline, where he has partnered with USA throwing zone, a leading American company that has some of the best throwing equipment in the world.

Together with Julius Yego, the company will be out to launch the Kenya Golden Arm to donate their equipment to youngsters in schools with the hope of nurturing talent and ensure the javelin legacy continues in Kenya.

In a post shared on their Instagram handle, the organisation showcases a video of one of Julius Yego’s son using one of the javelin throwers as they urged sponsors and donors to show up in large number and make the initiative a success.

“Julius Yego son using for the first time our Turbojav)). Big plans for Kenya. We are partnering with Julius and are going to launch Kenya Golden Arm with the Julius Yego Foundation. Goal is to bring our mini javelins to schools and find the next Kenyan Javelin star. We will have a crowdfunding initiative. Donors and sponsors can help find the future stars,” the caption of the video read.

Just recently, Julius Yego had an exclusive interview with Pulse Sports Kenya , lamenting the lack of support for field events, noting that the future did not look bright from his end.

The five-time African champion will soon be retiring and he observed that there is no other athlete who can continue his legacy, as of now.

“I only hope that one day we get serious support to the field events in this country. The future is not promising as at now considering that I am almost exiting yet we don't see any support. It's so sad that we might take a long period to get an athlete in javelin who is world class unless the support comes in,” Yego said at the time.
