“The dynamics of races have changed a lot and people have been running fast times and we shall also be fighting for the top honours. I want to promise Kenyans that we shall come back with medals,” she said.
She added that her training has been extensive and she feels ready to go and conquer in the French capital.
She will enjoy the company of Faith Cherotich and Jackline Chepkoech who have also been impressive in the past few seasons with Cherotich, just at 19, having a bronze medal from the World Championships to her name.
“My preparation has been going on well and my goal is to finish in the podium since I have been missing an Olympic medal and I think that’s the only medal that I don’t have in my career,” she said.
“Everyone has their own coach and, on my side, I have been doing well. When you step on the track, it depends on how your body is feeling and if it’s in God’s plans, you will definitely win,” Chepkoech added.
