ATHLETICS: Omanyala and Akani Simbine face off as Diamond League heads to Monaco
This season, the duo has clashed twice and recorded different results in both races.
The 32-year-old heads to a star-studded field in London where she is set to gauge her form and know what she ought to improve on ahead of the World Championships.
She will enjoy the company of compatriots Jackline Chepkoech, who is also on the team selected for the World Championships, and Fancy Cherono.
Jackline, just like Chepkoech, has also had a great start to her season and will be hoping to maintain the hot streak as she heads to the English capital. She is just fresh from finishing second at the Athletics Kenya World Championships National Trials.
On her part, Cherono has had a mixed first half to her season and will be keen to make amends as she heads to London. The fastest she has timed this season is 9:32.93, quite a slow time, and has only recorded a win once, during the Kenya Prisons Track and Field Championships.
