Following Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce's women's 100m spot at the Jamaican trials, she has joined an illustrious list of Jamaican Olympians.

Track legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has joined an illustrious list of Jamaican Olympians after making the Jamaican women's 100m Olympic team to Paris.

The five-time world 100m champion powered to a brilliant time of 10.94s to finish third in the 100m final behind race winner Shericka Jackson in 10.84s and teen sensation Tia Clayton in 10.90s at the Jamaican Olympic trials - all three securing their spots on the team heading to the Games in the French city.

By doing this, Fraser-Pryce qualified for her fifth consecutive Olympic Games since making her debut at Beijing 2008, where she won her first Gold medal.

Fraser-Pryce won the 2022 World Championships title in Oregon

Most importantly, she's now the third Jamaican female track athlete to make five Olympics, behind the legendary Merlene Ottey (7) and Veronica Campbell-Brown (5), who have respective nine and eight medals in their distinguished careers.

The 37-year-old has also won a medal at every Olympic Games she's competed at, with her series of podium placements below.

Paris 2024 - ???

With her final track appearance set for Paris, Fraser-Pryce will be gunning to make it another memorable outing by aiming for a medal to cap off her iconic career as one of the greatest athletes in history.
