American sprint legend Tyson Gay back in limelight with coaching move

Former American sprinter Tyson Gay has made a bold move to get into full-time coaching with the release of his fitness accelerator program.

Former world champion and American Sprinter Tyson Gay has delved deeper into his coaching career with the release of his fitness program.

Gay, who has been steadily building on his coaching career since May 2024, has released a fitness program to further enhance on his latest venture. The American sprint legend made the move to share his experience in field and track through coaching and literary work.

The former Olympian took to his Instagram account to share the news of the release of his fitness program with the caption reading, “Today is the day! At 6pm (EST) I will be releasing my Fitness Accelerator program! If you’ve ever wanted to train like an Olympian or finally start reaching your fitness goals…Then this is for you!”

Gay has also has also taken to writing books to share his sprinting knowledge, releasing his first book back in May titled “10 must have tips to train like a world class athlete”.

The move came after a prolonged absence from the Track with Gay branching out, according to Essentially Sports.

“Tyson Gay gives special shoutout to all runners around the world and encourages them to not lose focus. In a remarkable return, he has not only resumed his track career but has also ventured beyond sports, offering personal guidance to keep athletes on track in their lives,” wrote Essentially Sports.

Tyson Gay’s 100m personal best of 9.69 seconds is the American record and makes him tied for the second fastest athlete over 100m ever, along with Yohan Blake of Jamaica.
